Behind City Hall is a lovely park area full of interesting things to see. The Peace Marker seemed like an apt choice for today. The words "May Peace Prevail on Earth" are written in four languages: English, Chinese, French, Spanish

World's Largest Tin Soldier

At the New Westminster Quay lives the world's largest tin soldier. Unveiled at the location on 14 February 2001, the tin soldier is also a time capsule to be opened in 2025. The soldier is modeled on the soldiers of the Royal Engineers, who founded New Westminster in the 1850s.
