Bizarre

How does this even make sense? Not only that, the zigzag doesn't even join properly so someone on wheels would find themselves in a slightly dangerous situation. Another example of catering to cars and not giving that much attention to pedestrians, etc.

  1. Here in the UK we have similar problems. The London Times is running a campaign at the moment to highlight bike safety and the lack of thought given to road layouts etc.

  2. Paul, it's even harder for pedestrians here than in Europe in one other major way. All entrances to places like shopping malls, strip malls and other shops are often set tens to hundreds of metres away from the main road, bus stops, pavements, etc as it is the PARKING LOTS that sit between these locations and the entrance. It is even more proof that North America caters solely to the car even today.
