Makeover

Photobucket

This building was featured last summer when still covered in scaffolding. It was given a makeover from an ugly 1970s style facade to this one, of the "old is new" style. Much better.

One of the more elegant looking entrances to a tower block in town. However, the view from across the street is of the arcs posted a couple of days ago.

Saintly Sunday

Photobucket

Mount Cavalry Lutheran Church is located on 6th Street just south of 8th Avenue. It's a multipurpose church, as you can see by the Korean lettering down the corner - it also holds the Orthodox Reformed Church, a rather ominous name. This is a common thing here in Canada, for many varieties of churches to share a building, probably brought on by declining attendees and increased property taxes.
